Well we have been very busy since the last posting. We have had grandparents and great-nanny, aunts and uncles and great aunts and uncles and cousins visiting, Anastassia has been baptized, Jennifer has returned to work and Anastassia has started daycare. As you can see our last month has been very busy!Anastassia was baptized on August 30 in Cumming, GA at St. Brendan's Church. We were excited to have some many family and friends attend the ceremony and the open-house afterward. Both sets of grandparents and great-Nanny were able to spend some time before and after the baptism with us in GA. We took a trip to the Georgia aquarium with everyone and had a great time. Anastassia was even able to follow the fish swimming by in the tanks.
Unfortunately, this also wrapped up Jennifer's maternity leave. Jennifer returned to work on Sept 8 in Atlanta and at the current time is still trying to adjust. Luckily with Mike working from home, he is able to do morning drop-offs so Anastassia does not need to get up too early (She sleeps from 8:00 pm to 7-8:00 am - I know we are lucky!) and help with pick-ups. Mike is starting to feel like "Mr Mom" and all the ladies at daycare think it is so great that he is so involved with his daughter. He has also learned how to dress a girl and that the socks need to match and shoes are optional and dresses are very cute. I told Mike that he would not need to do as much if I was not working but he thinks I have too much education and too many letters behind my name to stay home. I told him I could adjust! Anastassia is doing well at daycare and thus far has only picked up a running nose.
Today, Anastassia had her 4 month check-up. She is currently 15lbs 10 oz (85 %tile), 25 in long (75 %tile) and 17 in head circumference. She is babbling up a storm, is able to sit supported and is trying to roll-over but has not quite mastered that yet. She still has her blue eyes and is slowly getting more hair.
Thus far we are adjusting to our family of 2 working parents and a child in daycare and everyone is thriving. The next few months, I assume will continue to challenge us.
Sheamus has come full circle - bought by Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Mike for cousin Theo, passed to his brother Christopher, sent to cousin Zaidy in CO who then sent him to Anastassia
