2 month stats

I forgot to list her stats from her appt.

Weight 13.5 lbs (97 %tile) (birth 8 lbs 5 oz)- she likes to eat!
Length 23.5 in (87 %tile) (birth 20.75 in)
Head 15.5 in (66 %tile) (birth 14.5 in)

And it looks like her eyes will be staying blue. No hint of a color change as of yet!

2 months old

The ENT appt went well and we decided not to do anything with Anastassia's tongue. Since she freaked out when the doctor just looked in her mouth, I am glad that nothing needed to be done.

Anastassia turned 2 months old on Saturday which was also the first night she slept through the night (9:00p - 6:00am). I of course still woke up and the next night she made up for it waking up at 2:00a instead of 4:00a (her usual time) then again at 6:00a. At least it is a step in the right direction.

Saturday was also the first time Anastassia went in the pool. At first she was a little scared but once she got use to the fact that it is not as warm as a bath, she seemed to like it. This was in prep for going to Watertown and going in Mike's pool.

Up-date

Nothing really new here. (which is a nice change!) We had a mellow weekend. Mike was gone most of the prior week (in Mexico for work) so he got to Mike watching Anastassia and Jennifer got some yard work done. Since May we have been neglecting the flowerbeds for obvious reasons so I was glad to actually get back outside working on them.

Sunday - Mike tried to play soccer but it was rained out and Anastassia and I went to lunch with some girlfriends. Anastassia is becoming very comfortable going out to restaurants and going to lunch with the girls. Mike tried to dress her that morning in a onies (Oh Silly Boy!) I had to explain to him (since Anastassia could not) that we get dressed up in dresses with matching socks to go out to lunch with the girls! I told Anastassia that daddy is still learning about girls!

Anastassia has an appointment on Friday (7/18) with an ENT to evaluate her tongue. She was born tongue tied according to hospital pediatricians which means she can not stick her tongue out very far due to the tissue connection under her tongue being too short. A Neroda family trait - my bother Justin had it and his eldest son. Our pediatrician wants to take the wait and see approach before doing anything which can lead to speech issues. We would rather get it taken care of now if it is an issue before any issues develop and when the procedure to clip the tissue is an out-patient simple procedure as opposed to an surgical procedure with anesthesia. Hopefully I will be labeled an over-protective and over-involved mom and nothing will need to be done otherwise they will take care of it on Friday. Anastassia also has her 2 month doctor appt next week Monday (7/21) which is when she starts to get her vaccination. She should develop a unhealthy fear of doctors by the end of next week between the 2 visits.
Wish mommy and daddy luck and a hope for a happy baby

First plane flight to VA & Happy 4th of July!

Anastassia went on her first plane flight to VA to for a work picnic for Mike, to meet her cousins Aiden and Joshua, and to celebrate Joshua's birthday and Aiden's baptism.

Overall Anastassia did well on the flight. Luckily (because her daddy travels so much) Mike was up-graded to first class and was given the choice of either giving Jennifer his seat (with Anastassia) or he could take Anastassia with him to first class. What do you think his choice was? Anastassia has already started to learn about the better things in life (and flying!)

Mike and Anastassia in baggage claim. It was about midnight but Miss Busy-body Anastassia was wide awake and did not want to miss anything or anyone.

We went to Mike's work picnic then drove to Molly and Justin's in Ashburn, VA to the end of Joshua's party and for Aiden's baptism the next day.
